Opinion..

In the past few days there has been bit of a fuss down at the GG blog about the recent G-Shot winner.
Many people especially the modelers complained about the result and frankly I don't blame them.

Although GG and it's staff needs to be praised for their hard work holding these contests. At the same time to me the rules of the contest and how it was handled so far is what bothers many. For starters I don't know why many who've complained or stated their opinions on the matter didn't include their name and rather posted comments as anonymous.

Regardless of that, most of what they complained about is rather true IMO. Advertising and running these kind of contests to the public gives the majority of modelers who are mostly starters; big hopes in winning items that will help them continue with the hobby and boost their morals. When you throw in veterans and known modelers in the mix, it kinda takes the whole competing concept out of the window.

If you're going to let your favorite modelers and old buddies win your own contest, what is the point in letting others join the fiesta?!! I can't help myself but to be curious really lol.
I mean what the point we are trying to make to these new people who participated in the contest?!! a pat in the back and a "better luck next time" phrase?!!  Are we trying to make these modelers feel sorry for their lack of talent and in a way mock them for not being able to compete with the top dogs?!!

Don't take me wrong I respect all the talented fellow modelers who joined and won no doubt. But I must say putting up a Rabbit against bunch of Turtles in a race is wrong in any way you look at it.
Enough of me blabbing about a matter I didn't even compete in lol, I just felt the need to say something about it that's all.
